The internship is a formative and supervised professional experience, that takes place during the students academic career. It is contingent to a tripartite agreement between the student, the company and either the faculty of the Career centre, where the student has the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired during his or her academic training.
An internship is intra-curricular when it is a part of the academic program/curricula. It may be compulsory or optional, is subject to academic supervision and allows the student to obtain ECTS credits. Students must contact their faculty secretariat to find out about the terms and conditions of the internship (requirements, duration, deliverables, etc.).
Students whose academic program/curricula does not include an internship, but who wish to gain additional experience to increase their employability, may carry out an extra-curricular internship. The student must apply for an internship agreement with the Career Centre, which will check the terms and conditions of the internship (duration, learning objectivs, etc.).
